FEBRUARY 23rd HOA MEETING RECAP
The Homeowners Association Meeting on Thursday 02/23/2017
had a tone of togetherness and focus; as Homeowners, Staff, and the Board of
Directors sat down to discuss recent activity on the property and within the
association. Newly elected President
Randy Noxon lead the meeting with a beginning address to everyone present to
remind them of the collective hard work that the Board and Staff perform on a
daily basis with efforts toward making the Oaks a great place to live and
invest when purchasing a condominium unit.
Further, he reminded the participants to treat each other and Board
members with respect; with a focus on active listening to the views of others
and to the respect that no question should go unasked.
The agenda was presented for everyone to see on the large
flat screen TV that hangs in the clubhouse on property. As the slides to the presentation scrolled,
the meeting was both controlled and informative; keeping each topic in focus
until all questions were answered, comments were shared, and the Board noted
any action items. In addition to sharing
financials, changes in the members of the Board, and project-related updates,
Jennifer Hernandez (Property Manager) and Michael Loveless (Maintenance
Manager) shared updates and challenges with the operations side of Arlington
Oaks. Whereas much of the ‘day to day’
operations are running smoothly, there remains a steady list of things to do
and work on the property that needs to be done.
In summary, the meeting was one of the most informative in
recent memory, and offered Homeowners a return to a setting where their voices
were heard and concerns noted. To the
applause of many, the operations on the property continue to be strong and the
maintenance issues firmly on the radar.
With a renewed focus and improved communication, the Board of Directors
plans to reorganize the processes and procedures with inter-communication and
assignment of tasks to diversify the workload among the sitting Board
Members. Many handshakes of greeting and
appreciation were shared at the conclusion of the meeting; signifying that the
Homeowners, Staff, and Board are on track to renewing their unity.
