THIEVES
Our property, Arlington Oaks Condos, has been attacked again by a gang of thieves. We, as a community need to come together and attack back. We are asking each and everyone to be aware of your surroundings. If you pull through the parking lot and see something that does not look right, do not hesitate to call 911 (Arlington PD does not have a non-emergency number so you do have to dial 911).
Avoiding an auto-theft is unpredictable, but being aware, alert and attentive could prevent it.
Auto Theft Tips
- Use Common Sense- If you are wary of the safety of your car or see someone loitering around the parking lot, it’s best to park somewhere else. It’s better to walk a few extra steps than to have your car stolen because you ignored your instincts.
- Don’t leave your car unlocked- Leaving your car unlocked is like being invited to an all you can eat buffet!
- Never leave your car running, especially while it is unattended or unlocked- Might as well just give your car away!
- Never leave your windows open- Grab and Go is exactly what would happen!
- Don’t leave valuable personal property in your car- If it means something to you, then don't leave it behind, unless you like your life being a country song- "You don't know what you got till it's gone"!
According to our cameras these thieves have been targeting our property between 2am and 4am. We are working with the APD Auto Theft Unit, and if there is any information you would like to provide, please contact the Management office at 817-640-0395.
